ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Key skills required for the role:

• Highly organised and brilliant attention to detail

• Good time management skills and ability to work across multiple accounts simultaneously

• Positive, can-do attitude and enthusiasm to learn and develop new/existing skills

• Passion for and understanding of the UK media landscape

• Socially savvy and keeps on top of new developments in the social space

• Ability to manage Junior Account Executives and Interns

Your key tasks and areas of responsibility will be:

CLIENTS:

Planning & Programme Management

• Monitor your client’s industry and report on significant news

• Be aware of key calendar dates on the news agenda relevant for your clients

• Flag the impact of wider news agenda on planned campaign timings

• Organise internal and external team/client meetings, including; conference call details, room bookings,

catering, etc.

• Successfully maintain existing agency/supplier relationships

• Liaise with a range of agency suppliers to get quotes for client activity

Relationships

• Liaison with clients as relevant with close support from your Account Executive or Senior Account

Executive

• Attend client events and meetings

Reporting

• Confidently updating client on ownership areas

• Monitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients

• Maintain successful coverage files and accurate, up to date coverage trackers

• Deliver coverage reports, reporting on reach, coverage type, sentiment and key messages

• Deliver analytics reports on social media, reporting on traffic, engagement and follower figures

• Support team in the creation of monthly reports and campaign evaluations

• Lead on collating weekly status reports

Finance

• Support Account Executive and Account managers in accurate upkeep of client cost trackers

• Support in the management of assigned portions of campaign budgets

• Process invoices in a timely manner

COMMUNICATION:

Media relations

• Day to day, ongoing liaison with journalists to discuss product reviews, media drops or forward features

• Confident use of Gorkana to pull together media databases

• Attendance of media meets, alongside senior team members, to discuss client-relevant media opportunities

• Pitch press releases and feature ideas to national, regional and trade journalists, across print, broadcast and

online during sell ins

• Arrange interviews with key journalists for client spokespeople – in person or over the phone
